This was one of the best Marathon races I have run (out of ~20) - really well organized, outstanding crowd support, local flavor and scenery. It spans almost every part of Oakland and shows us the personable side of the city. It is so cool to see residents go about their business on a Sunday morning while accommodating you in their midst and cheering you on... awesome feel. Local eats show their full support by adding to the "official" water stops by dishing out their own treats and hospitality. Volunteers are freaking awesome the water/fluid/electrolyte/fruit/chews never ran out even in the 26th mile! I will be back next year - can't wait!
