Mostly women - very refreshing!

Different start location - was a bit crowded :)

I <3 this race. The crowd is big enough that you have a great collective vibe, but still feels intimate. You don't feel like "just a number" The scenery is unmatched. There is no "entertainment" hence the low rating, but the bridge, bay and Crissy field are entertainment enough. Other highlights:

* Stroller friendly
* The MC this year was Kim Chambers - an amazingly accomplished swimmer.
* Great necklace as a finisher metal.
* Good music in the expo area
* Dynamo Donuts is now open so delicious coffee and donuts were available for purchase right near the finish line.
* Your name is printed on your bib. Nice personalized touch.

The only downsides:
* They haven't gotten the bathroom ratio down.
* The volunteer course monitors are young and shy so no cheering. Continue reading...
