This chocolate themed race is a lot of fun although the 'fun run' crowd may not be compatible with the 'fun run / chocolate loving' runners. The Golden Gate Park course is great and the hoodies are a nice change from the standard t-shirt fare. Finishing with course with a cup of hot chocolate and the chocolate bowl (banana, chocolate dip, etc) was more gimmick than deliciousness.

This was my second time running and I look forward to it again next year. My friends who have not run in a race before joined me this year. They were happy with the course, the goody bag, and chocolate.
If the location for the packet pick up was actually IN the city/county of San Francisco, that would be better. S. San Francisco is not the same.

This was my first race in the bay area and I was quite surprised. The event was organized really well and the course was good. The last 2 miles were mostly uphill which made it even more challenging.

Overall, it was definitely worth it and I'm glad I did it.

I loved the race! I was initially very disappointed as they didn't alow strollers but seein that thousands and thousands do it, I get it.
- love that the expo was at museum circle.
- best after race nourishment ever.
- the hoodie is both cute and well made. And, what race gives a hoodie???
- crazy, fun energy.

- no strollers but I sorta get it. If they are worried about congestion though they need to work better to organize walkers in the corrals.
- pick up in South San Francisco.
- the 5k doesn't take advantage of the prettiest scenery in the park.

Pro tips:
- parking was great on south part of mlk in the park.
- de young cafe opened at 9:30 if you want good coffee and to stay warm while you wait for 15k peeps.
